Links to most of the icons and apps can be found on the Mark II
Ok, alot of changes from the Mark II. Base Background is still the same. Full version with side template for keeping files kinda organised here
I'm now using an app called Dragthing as my app launcher and folder organiser. Got all my frequently used apps organised in to seperate tabs by category in the bar on the bottom left and then shortcuts to my frequented folders organised the same way on the left. I still have the Apple dock in the middle bottom since you can't get rid of it, but I made it as small as possible and set it to magnify when the mouse is over it so I can keep track of what apps i've got open.
App called Snakr running along the top, its a rss reader that scrolls along showing whatever feeds you have told it to, its very good.
Pretty much all the icons are the same as before perhaps a couple changed, I think I inverted the colours on the adobe ones but aside from that I haven't done much to them. All links are on the Mark II page cos i'm lazy
Moved the geektool around, time and date are on the left and set to always on top so windows don't really get in their way anymore.
The bottom two pictures are a slight mod of the theme, I got a widget called DeskSaverPlus that allows you to run screensavers as Desktop background, although it takes up alot of ram, hence it being a secondary status of the desktop, I use it mainly when I want to show off and be fancy, lol. I have all the Geektool parts apart from the time and date set to be below windows and this stops them running over the screensaver but above the normal background so I don't have to change the Geektool settings when I run the widget. The screensaver is from the official Iron Man 2 website, moves around the suit, looks uber cool
Just realised how much I wrote about this, haha, and how often I used the word 'organised' =\ If i remember anything else I've added i'll edit.
Edit: alot of people ask about windows alternatives for this and alot of the apps are cross platform but tbh I haven't really used a pc in ages so I don't know. But i recommend RainMeter, its a windows only app that i'm praying they do someday for mac because its so amazing, but alas in the meantime you Windows folk can enjoy it and one-up me
this is just stunning. and i thought that linux was customisable so much one could geek out high with some tweaking and scripting perseverance. jesus! now i get why people are willing to grab mac.
